UGC NET 2018 Exam Pattern: All You Need to Prepare About

The major change with the NTA UGC NET Exam this year is the change in the exam pattern. The UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern had three different papers to cover the syllabus, but this year UGC NET 2019 Exam Pattern came up with only two papers as a surprising element.
Along with this the upper age limit for applying in JRF has also been raised by two years. Now, aspirants can apply for JRF until the age of 30 years instead of 28 years. As per the official notification by CBSE; the updated UGC NET 2019 Exam Pattern will be as follows.

Paper I
·         The Paper I will primarily focus to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate as per the official notification of CBSE
·         It will have the total number of questions to be 50, which is mandatory to attempt. Each correct answer will award you 2 marks
·         There is no negative marking
Paper II
·         The Paper II will contain question from the respective subject of the candidate as selected
·         It will have the total number of questions to be 100 which is mandatory to attempt. Each correct answer will award you 2 marks
·         There is no negative marking

 You can’t afford to skip a certain section as it worth a lot in your performance. You should plan your preparation accordingly. As there is no negative marking; this makes candidates to think over trying and attempting all questions. In fact, an approx answer could be given a try rather skipping it.
